9. Glazing the Conservatory Roof
Glazing your conservatory roof with glass or polycarbonate is a key stage.
Whether you have chosen glass or polycarbonate roofing, you need to consider which sections to glaze first, as you will need access to the ridge radius end. All roof materials are supplied cut to size and labeled indicating the correct position.
The glazing panels are fitted with security tape along the bottom edges to prevent them slipping. Glass roofs are supplied with special glass fixing kits to keep the glass in place. Rafter top caps are knocked down onto the rafters to make a seal and hold the roofing sheets in place. These are all supplied cut to length and numbered to correspond with the rafters and roof plan.
